It includes pick-up from your accommodation, private transport, a guide in Spanish, English or Portuguese and park admission.

On the End of the World Train tour, the main station is about 8 km from the city, on National Route 3. The End of the World Train is a one-of-a-kind experience that recreates the last kilometers of Ushuaia’s historic prisoners’ train, crossing the striking landscapes of Tierra del Fuego National Park on a ride of about 1 hour.

On board, an audio guide available in 10 languages accompanies every stretch with stories that turn the ride into an immersive experience, where history, nature and emotion come together in an unforgettable memory. The route includes a 20-minute stop at Cascada La Macarena station, where passengers can get off to admire the waterfall.

What you’ll experience on the End of the World Train tour

  • A ride through history: you follow the tracks of the prisoners’ train, which linked Ushuaia’s old prison with the forests to haul firewood and materials. The End of the World Train recreates its last kilometers.
  • The park from your window: the train runs through forests and valleys while you settle in and watch the end-of-the-world landscape roll by.

Who it’s for

It is ideal if you want to ride the End of the World Train in Ushuaia and see the park in a single outing: it is the only one of our three park tours without trekking, all by train and vehicle, with stops at the lake and the viewpoint. If you would rather walk in the forest in half a day, there is the classic National Park tour; and if you are after adventure, the hike and canoe tour ends by paddling into Lapataia Bay.
